The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 is right around the corner - literally! It's quite possibly the biggest sale of the year & today I'm telling you everything you need to know about the sale & how to prepare for it!
WHY
First let's talk why the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is oh so popular. This is when Nordstrom releases brand new fall items at majorly discounted prices. I'm talking closet staples like designer denim & handbags, fall boots, sweaters & jackets, and year round basics. They also have amazing deals on beauty products from brands like NARS, Bobbi Brown, and Laura Mercier. You can basically build an entirely new wardrobe & freshen up your beauty bag with items from the sale. The sale also includes items for men, kids, and the home. Once the sale is over, the unbeatable prices disappear and all of the items go back up to their original price.
WHEN
Next, let's talk when the sale runs. If you're a Nordstrom Cardholder, lucky you! You'll gain early access to the sale this Thursday, July 13 at 12:01 PST. No card? No worries! The sale opens up to everyone on July 21 at 12:01 PST.

August 6 - Last Day of Sale
WHAT
Before I jump into strategy for shopping the sale, I want to talk about what I purchased last year during the sale. I was able to snag a pair of AG jeans, Lucky Brand booties, Zella leggings, a Barefoot Dreams cardigan/wrap and some basic tee's all during early access of the sale. I highly recommend stocking up on basics because they will be the items you wear over & over again. I also recommend shopping the sale as soon as possible (in store or online) because things sell out so quick and there's no promising they will be restocked! I ordered a scarf last year on the first day of early access and by the time it arrived, it was already sold out & did not get restocked!
STRATEGY
Finally, let's talk tips & tricks for shopping the sale!
1. Browse the preview catalog and take notes. Although the catalog does not include everything that will be part of the sale, it gives plenty of options for you to look through & create a list from. Writing down the items you have your eye on will make it easy to search for them when the sale goes live.
2. Set a budget for yourself. It can be easy to get carried away and want to buy literally e v e r y t h i n g you see! Going into the sale with a spending limit in mind will help you narrow down what you need vs what you want.
3. Follow along with me! I will be posting sale round ups right here on the blog with my top picks from each category. Subscribe here so you never miss a post! I will also be posting a ton over on Instagram throughout the duration of the sale! I plan on going to my local Nordstrom on the first day of early access which means Insta story try ons!
