Read moreThe Prettiest Tunic For Spring
Spring is in the air! Finally! And I’m soaking in the warmer temps and clear skies for as long as they last. Along with spring weather comes spring clothes. I’m super excited to finally replace my sweaters with tunics and leggings with dresses. I was going to try to create a spring capsule wardrobe, but I found that I don’t really have the patience for it or the ability to narrow down my choices lol. Instead, I will be sharing a spring must haves post, and possibly a spring/summer shoe round up. There are tons of great shoe options out right now so I’m feeling like that would make for a good post!
For now, I’m sharing this outfit that will certainly be on repeat. This tunic is the it tunic of the season. It seems like everyone has it in white, but I fell for the sage green color as soon as I laid my eyes on it. It’s so beautiful and screams spring. I love the flowy fit and eyelet details. The back is open (but not too open) and the sleeves balloon out a bit. It looks great with distressed denim and white denim, as well as cut off shorts tucked in or tied up, and you can even wear it as a dress/coverup if you’re short like me! I’m wearing my true size small and it will be perfect for my growing bump! (In case you missed it, I’m pregnant! Read more here!)
As always, thanks for stopping by!

Blush Sweater for Valentine's Day
Happy February first!! As fast as January flew by, I’m happy it’s over because it means we are one month closer to spring! The weather has been crazy lately, i.e. today it’s snowing and next week its supposed to be 60 degrees. What?? I’m over the back and forth 🙄
ANYWAY. Enough about the weather. Today’s look is the perfect casual look for Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t scream v-day, but it’s festive enough! This blush sweater is super cozy. It comes in a few colors and it’s under $100. I got my true size small and it’s naturally oversized so no reason to size up! The material is super soft and it’s great quality for an every day sweater. I paired it with distressed denim and booties for a casual look, but it would also look cute with white denim and heels or tall heeled boots if you want to dress it up a little!
Speaking of Valentine’s Day. Rob and I usually go to dinner at our fave restaurant because they always have a v-day special! We honestly haven’t went out on a date since the wedding because we’ve been so busy with work and the house and the puppy etc. that when we do have time we just want to chill. So I’m definitely looking forward to dinner!! I also wrote this post last year about how I really feel about Valentine’s Day - I know people either love it or hate it lol. Click here to see if I’m a lover or a hater, although you probably can take a guess and be right haha.
As always, thanks for reading! Happy Friday!

Balloon Sleeve Sweater + Cozy Blanket Scarf
Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing another comfy, cozy outfit. I feel like we are in the dead of winter & thinking about spring makes it seem so far away. So until it looks like warm weather is on the horizon, I will mostly like keep sharing outfits that are winter appropriate.
If you’ve been following along all season, you will know that this scarf has been a favorite of mine. I also have it in grey because it goes with everything and it’s great quality! It kept going in and out of stock all season, but it’s available in black here. For this look, I paired the blush with ivory and it is such a pretty combo to me. This mock neck sweater is so soft and warm. I love the detail of the balloon sleeves, and that they are cuffed! It’s definitely a quality sweater that will last me a few seasons! My distressed denim is out of stock, but I will link a few similar pairs in the widget below. My booties are on sale for under $80 and fit true to size. They have been my go to all fall & winter so now is the time to snag them before they go out of stock for good!

Cozy Winter Outfit
Happy Wednesday babes! We are half way through the week, and I can’t wait for the weekend. Anyone else with me? 🙋🏻 Now that we are in the dead of winter, you bet I’m always bundled in a scarf, hat, and all the cozies. This cardigan is super soft and the perfect layering piece. I also LOVE the color, and was feeling pretty good about adding color to my neutral wardrobe for the coldest months. The balloon sleeves on this cardigan are a great feature because they comfortably let you wear long sleeves underneath!
My scarf is still in stock in black here. It’s super cozy and definitely one of my favorite buys of the season. I also have it in the blush color! I wear one or the other every day! My beanie is from Sadee’s and super warm. I love the fabric and the cute pom on top! My denim is sold out but I’m linking a similar pair here. My booties are on sale for under $80. They fit true to size and were another great buy of the season! The color I’m wearing is foxy suede and they match everything.
In other news, I started back at the gym this week and it feels so good. I’ve been out of routine for too long now and was starting to feel it (and see it). I’ve always been an afternoon gym girl at heart and I’ve never been a morning person (never will be). But, I had to make an adjustment over the past couples years because my schedule didn't allow for afternoon gym sessions. Getting up in the morning to go to the gym was SO hard, but I made myself do it. However, I don’t think I was challenging myself enough, half the time because I had to get in and out to be on time for the rest of the day. It just wasn’t a good cycle for me.
BUT, now that I have more time, I’m able to go in the afternoon again and so happy about it! I feel like I will be able to devote myself fully while I’m there and really push myself to the next level. It’s all about finding what works best and feels best for you! If you’ve been out of routine or telling yourself you’re going to start back at doing something, my advice is just do it! Taking that first step is always the hardest, but you will be so glad once you do. Find that motivation deep down and really commit to starting. You won’t regret it! You’ll just be wondering why you didn’t start sooner.
As always, thanks for reading!!

Sweater Weather Q & A
A couple weeks ago over on instagram, I asked you gals what you wanted to see on the blog. I got a lot of questions regarding closet organization, styling outfits, etc. A handful of the questions were related to sweaters, so I am addressing those today! I hope you find this post helpful! Please leave any other questions/ideas in the comments of this post and I will be sure to add them into my schedule <3 xoxo
Q: How many sweaters do you have?
A: Too many to count LOL. But really, I have more than the average person needs because of blogging. It’s my job to share a variety with you babes so you can pick and choose based on your personal style and what you need. I don’t ever want you girls to feel like you NEED to buy everything I share because you absolutely don’t have to do that! You can have a handful of go to sweaters that you can style multiple ways to achieve a new look every time! Which brings me to my next question…
Q: Which ones are your go to’s?
A: I always find myself reaching for my coziest, chunky, oversized sweaters because they’re what I feel best in during the colder months! Some of my current favorites are this free people one, this one from h&m (I have it in two colors!), this off the shoulder one, and this cozy fleece pullover.
Q: How do you know when to get rid of some?
A: When I start to get bored of what’s in my closet, I know it’s time to purge and bring in some new pieces. If I’m not wearing an item as much as I used to (or if I haven’t worn it at all), or if I’ve worn it so much that it’s not in great condition anymore, is how I know I’m over it or it’s just time for it go.
Q: How do you know which ones to keep?
A: The ones that are my go to’s and in great condition are typically the ones I will keep for the next season. I will at least hold on to them for the year, then re-evalutate when the time comes. I often find myself getting rid of what I keep since there are always new options when a new season rolls around. Sometimes I get lucky and my faves come back in stock the next year which is always a win!
Q: Which ones do you consider essentials that every closet should have?
A: This is a great question, and I plan to expand on it in 2019. I’m thinking of doing a seasonal essentials post at the beginning of each season with my top five must have items for that season. Definitely could be fun and super helpful when building your wardrobe!
When it comes to sweaters specifically, I think every girl needs a few neutral options; black, grey, ivory, white. Whatever neutral color you feel comfortable in is the way to go. If you like to incorporate bold colors into your wardrobe, go for it! Some of my favorite styles are oversized, a chunky turtleneck, and a good basic crew neck.
Q: How do you organize them?
A: Honesty is the best policy, so let’s chat closet storage. My organization system right now is pretty non existent. When we moved into our home this past summer, the closets did not have any units in them except for one shelf across the top, then space to hang. When you have a TON of clothes, this makes organizing so difficult. I currently just fold them and stack them, rather than hang them because then the shape gets funky. It’s definitely not the best solution, but it works (kind of). My ultimate goal is to have the elfa system installed in all of the closets in our home but that will come with time!
Well, that’s a wrap! Thanks for stopping by!

The Perfect Little Black Dress for the Holidays
When it comes to holiday parties and events, you can never go wrong with a little black dress, especially if you’re a neutral lover like me! I did wear a red dress for a holiday party one year, but there’s just something about a little black dress that is classic and chic. This dress is by Gentle Fawn and I knew as soon as I pulled it out of the box that it was a winner! The flowy fit leaves enough room to eat & drink all you want, while the v neckline is super flattering. It has adjustable straps which is a major plus. I love the pleated fabric and peplum hem. It gives the dress so much movement! It fits true to size and comes in a few different color options! For under $100, you can’t beat it! A little black dress is a closet staple and you will get so much use out of this one!

How to Style a Velvet Top for the Holidays
Colder weather always brings out my edgy side. I love faux leather for winter, and pairing it with different textures always makes for a good outfit! This velvet top is the perfect top for the holidays. It has the easy, breezy fit of a tee, but is an elevated basic because of the lush, velvet fabric. The raw hem is also a detail I love! It fits true to size (wearing a small) and comes in two other colors.
My faux leather leggings and jacket are both from last year but I’m linking super similar options by the same brands here - leggings and here - jacket. These are great investment pieces that you will be able to get multiple seasons out of! My over the knee boots were an investment piece from last year, and well worth it because I have worn them so much already this winter! I was so sad that they didn’t come back in stock this season! BUT, this pair is similar in style and color, and fits true to size. I debated getting them this year but definitely don’t need two pairs of the same color, so ultimately passed, but it was a hard choice!

The Perfect Oversized Sweater + Scarf Combo
Happy Friday babes! I hope you’re having a great start to your weekend! My dining chairs arrived yesterday and I am so happy with how the kitchen is coming along. My vision is coming to life and after the holidays we should be well on our way to completing the space! I shared the dining chairs on my insta story, along with links to them so be sure to check it out!
Now for today’s look! This right here is my winter uniform. I love a good chunky turtleneck and this one is perfect. It’s soft, oversized, and the price is right at just under $50. For the wear I’ve gotten out of it already, It’s easily one of the best purchases I’ve made so far this season. I love it so much that I also got it in the grey!
I styled it with my go to pair of distressed denim and this blanket scarf for all the cozy vibes. There’s just something about being bundled up that gives me all the feels of the winter season. My denim is sold out, but this pair and this pair is on my list! My scarf comes in so many colors and it is so warm!! I’ve been wearing it non stop and think I need another color to switch up my looks a bit! My booties are also on sale for under $100. They are so comfortable and I have gotten so much wear out them. The color I have is foxy suede and they go with everything!

Cozy Holiday Outfit Idea
Photos by Jay Cassario
Happy Wednesday babes! I can’t believe we are already half way through this week. Christmas is literally going to be here before we know it, and I still have some shopping to do! If you’re still shopping, check out my gift guides here. You can always find them under the holiday tab in the navigation bar at the top of my blog! If you’re done shopping, but need outfit ideas, today’s post as well as next week’s, will surely help you!
When it comes to the holidays, I’m all about comfort while also looking put together. All black is always a go to look for me because it’s easy and looks chic no matter how you style it. You can never go wrong with high waisted black denim and an oversized sweater. These jeans run true to size, and so does this sweater. If you want to be even comfier, you can swap the denim for faux leather leggings and still achieve the same look! Add a pair of over the knee boots and a beanie and you’re good to go!

5 Teddy Coats Under $100
Photos by Jay Cassario
Happy Monday babes! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I can’t believe December is here already. The weather is getting colder, which means winter is right around the corner. One of my winter wardrobe must haves is a teddy coat. It’s a cozy and warm option for a jacket, as well as an on trend piece that can be styled to look super cute. Since it is more of a trendy piece, I wouldn’t spend as much on it as I would a classic, wool jacket. This teddy coat in particular is super warm, true to size, and comes in 4 colors. For only $69, this coat is such a steal! Scroll through the widget below to see my other under $100 teddy coat picks! If I thought it would be acceptable to own five, I would be getting all of these 😝
