WHITE DENIM

Tis the season of white denim! When it comes to white denim, I typically look for the following qualities: cropped/ankle length, NOT see through, and not distressed. I just got this pair in and they are a keeper! I love the high waist. They hit me right at the ankle. They are stretchy aka comfortable and NOT see through #win! They are definitely my favorite pair of white denim I've owned to date! 

SWING DRESS

A swing dress is a must have for the warmer months. It is a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down. Because it's so basic, you can accessorize it differently every time you wear it for a completely new look. I also love that swing dresses have a bit of a looser fit, making them comfortable and breezy! 

STRAW BAG

Straw bags are trendy, and I'm on board with them. Sometimes, your basic leather bag might not complete an outfit like a straw bag would, especially in the summer time. There are so many options out there, and I found straw bags at all price ranges. I don't necessarily think they are worth splurging on, but this one (just ordered) is a great option for the price!

ESPADRILLE WEDGES

Espadrilles are a must have for spring and summer because they scream warm weather. Espadrille sneakers and slip ons give a relaxed vibe and complete any casual look. Espadrille wedges can elevate any outfit and pull your look together. If you're going to splurge, I would go for nude, blush, or taupe, depending on what color tones your wardrobe consists of. I typically wear neutrals, so these were the perfect addition to my spring wardrobe!

SLIP ON SANDALS

Slip on sandals have become so popular, and for good reason. I got these last year and wore the crap out of them! They were perfect to just slip on and go. I will definitely wear them again this year, but I also want to add a fun pair to my collection. I have my eye on this pair and this pair. Which pari to get first?!

How to Wear the Sheer Trend this Spring

Sheer fabrics are going to be trending this spring, and I can't say I'm mad about it. To incorporate the sheer trend into your wardrobe without showing too much skin, this blush top is the perfect option. The sheer panels in the sleeves are an unexpected detail that give this top a feminine feel. I also love that the sleeves are flowy! The v neck is flattering and the fabric is breathable. I'm wearing a size small and it's under $60!

I paired this top with high waisted denim and espadrille wedges for a more casual look. If you want to dress it up, pair it with white denim, the same espadrille wedges, and fun earrings! It's such a versatile top and also comes in two other color options (the white keeps coming in and out of stock).

Must Have White Top for Spring

White, flowy, boho tops. Yes.Please. I am so ready for spring and all of the wardrobe essentials that come with it. My favorite must have for spring is a white top. White tops are super versatile, easy to wear, and are always look chic.

The first one I purchased for the upcoming spring season is this one by Amuse Society. I am wearing a small and the oversized fit is perfect. I love the stitching on the shoulders and the tassels are such a cute detail! The high lo hem is super flattering. The deep v paired with a lacy bralette would look feminine and sexy!

I paired this top with my new fave pair of distressed denim - currently on sale for $44! I just posted about them in this blog post! They are super soft, low rise, and fit true to size. These espadrille wedges are also another current obsession of mine. I've wanted them for two seasons now and they kept selling out so I decided to purchase them early this year. The two tone is super pretty and will go with everything! They are also super comfortable and easy to walk in. They fit true to size and are definitely the it shoe of the season. Styling Distressed Denim for the Spring Transition

Distressed denim is a favorite of mine all year round. The pair I'm talking about today is currently on sale for only $44! Talk about a steal! The medium wash is perfect for now & summer. The distressing is in all the right places. I also love how soft these are. They are a low rise, slim, boyfriend fit which I have grown to love.

I am wearing my true size (26 short) and they fit perfect. I originally ordered the 27 which ended up being too big. The exchange process was super easy. I used the provided label to ship the 27's back and my new pair was on it's way the next day. These are definitely a must have & come in four different washes. 

I paired them with this lightweight sweater that also comes in a pretty mint green color. I sized up to a medium because it is described as cropped and I'm glad I did. I love it for now and I can't wait to wear it this summer over a bathing suit or paired with denim cutoffs! My sunnies are also new and I'm obsessed so be prepared to see them a ton! The rose gold lens is gorggg and they're only $65!

Free People Sweater + Madewell Denim

This outfit is such a gem you guys. I wore it straight out of the box! It's perfect for the spring transition because the sweater is still oversized and cozy and the denim is a light wash that satisfies my craving for warmer weather. 

I'm wearing a small in the sweater. It comes in four colors and I'm debating getting the ivory because I love it so much (also available in black and olive green). It's technically cropped, but I'm short and these jeans are high waisted so it hits perfect on me. If I had sized down to an xs I'm sure it would have been a tad shorter. The stitching adds texture and the cuffed sleeves are adorable! This sweater is definitely a must have that will get you through the next two months!

Now let's talk denim. Madewell has become one of my fave denim brands (check out a previous review here). Unlike my other pairs of Madewell denim, this pair is more of a true denim that has little to no stretch. It is high waisted and has a girlfriend/boyfriend/mom jean type of fit, but still hugs in all the right places. After reading the reviews I decided to size up and the fit is great! (I'm typically a 26 in Madewell, but went with the 27.) I don't wash my jeans after every wear (does anyone?) so I'm curious to see if they will stretch. I plan to dry them in the dryer all the way so I'll keep you updated on Instagram with how they wear - so far, so good! Coming in at just $98, this pair of denim is a must have for the spring transition & into summer!

How to Style Joggers

Happy Wednesday girls! Today I'm sharing some tips for how to style joggers. I feel like joggers are trendy right now, and for good reason. They're practical, comfortable, and can be great for every day wear whether you're lounging at home or running errands. 

When it comes to styling joggers, it's all about finding the perfect pair for your body type. I'm on the shorter side (5'3'') and have always had athletic legs - no thigh gap over here. This was a challenge for me because every time I would try a pair, they would either be too long or too tight across my butt. This pair of joggers is the best pair I have found yet! I am absolutely in love with the fit and fabric. They are beyond soft and I love how they lay on my ankle. They are under $50 and come in three colors! I'm wearing a size small which is my norm.

I paired these joggers with this long sleeve lounge top. It's not super oversized so it doesn't drown you out which is key since joggers aren't skin tight like leggings. When choosing your top, make sure it's more on the fitted side as opposed to oversized. The one I'm wearing here is only available in black right now. It's another one that is really cozy and fits true to size (wearing a small). 

Another tip for how to style joggers is to accessorize. Between my cozy scarf, pom beanie, sunnies, and cross body bag, these accessories make the outfit. My sneaks are also in the same color fam as the rest of my outfit which pulls everything together. Without fun accessories, this outfit would be pretty boring and probably look like I just rolled out of bed. Don't be afraid to have fun with your accessories so you look cute when styling your joggers for out and about!

How to Dress for the Spring Transition

In case you missed my last blog post, I talked about how I am focusing on buying pieces that fit into my current winter wardrobe and will also transition perfectly into spring. It's such a weird time of year because the weather is still cold (in NJ at least) but all the spring clothes are being released! 

When dressing for the spring transition, one word that comes to mind is layers. It's easy to layer different pieces depending on the temperature. One of my favorite layering pieces for now & spring is a light weight sweater. The reason I love a lightweight sweater is because you can easily throw a jacket or scarf over it while it's still chilly. Once the weather breaks, you can style on its own with a pair of distressed denim, and even denim cutoffs once it gets hot! 

When I saw this sweater online, I fell in love. Initially, I waited too long to order it because it sold out so quick! When I caught it back in stock, I snagged it right away. It keeps going in and out of stock, so if it's sold out, check back every now and then. I also linked similar light weight sweaters at the bottom of this post in case this one is out! 

A pair of light colored booties are also perfect for the spring transition. You can style them with jeans or shorts and the light color screams spring. This perforated pair is breathable and has a warm weather texture.

Balloon Sleeve Sweater + Faux Leather Leggings

Spring is right around the corner and I can't stop looking at warm weather clothes! Right now I'm focusing on buying pieces that fit into my current winter wardrobe and also transition perfectly into spring. This lightweight balloon sleeve sweater is a great option if you're on the hunt something practical that you can wear over the next few months. I paired it with faux leather leggings and over the knee boots for now, but it would also look cute with distressed denim and booties, or even denim cutoffs, once the weather breaks. 

This sweater fits true to size - I am wearing a small. If you like a little more room in the body and some extra length, I would size up since it is not made to fit oversized. The material is lightweight & not itchy. The balloon sleeves are such a cute detail that I've been on board with since they started trending. I also love the light grey color for spring!
