BEAUTY TALK:
Happy Wednesday ladies! If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw that I went to Sephora & MAC this past weekend to pick up some new products. First let's talk MAC. I cleaned out my vanity and had a ton of containers to recycle so I decided to trade them in & pick out two new lipsticks. Their lipstick in the shade Hue has always been a favorite of mine. It is a soft pale pink & has a creamy texture because it's considered a glaze. This is a shade that I keep going back to when I'm craving a neutral lip. The second lipstick I chose is in the shade Give In. I swatched it on my hand and loved it; however, I'm not a major fan of the way it looks on my lips. Lesson learned: I should have taken the time to actually try it.
Now, on to my picks from Sephora. Continuing with the lip theme, I've been dying to try some of the new Bare Minerals Gen Nude lip products. I purchased the Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick in the shade Baby and the Gen Nude Buttercream Lipgloss in the shade Groovy. Again, I was 1 for 2 with these picks. The Radiant Lipstick has a great texture, I just don't love the shade I chose in combination with my skin tone. BUT, the Buttercream Lipgloss is amazing & I love it paired with Hue from MAC! It's definitely going to be my new go to nude lip combination.
I've also been on the hunt for a new mascara to fall in love with. A lot of people recommended DiorShow so I got that & the new Subversion primer by Urban Decay. I was tempted to get the Urban Decay Perversion mascara because I was a fan of that, but I wanted to try something new. First impressions: the primer is excellent. It definitely adds length to my lashes which is what I was looking for. DiorShow is also pretty good. It's a little bit of a splurge so I'll have to decide if it's worth it. I really love the way it separates my lashes to give a full look. The brush is oversized which I love because it makes it easy to really get between and coat the lashes. I think three coats is necessary with this one and I'm more of a two coat kinda girl, but it's growing on me.

REAL TALK
Ladies - if your other half loves to fish, I have the perfect gift you could give! Rob has been so amped up about this fishing trip he just went on. It was up in Nantucket on the Helen-H boat. It was a two day trip that was "worth every penny." As he would say, he caught a DOORMAT (10.6 pound flounder) and couldn't be more excited lol. In addition to his huge flounder, he caught a bunch of keepers and a ton of sea bass which tastes so good if you're into seafood. So shout out to him for being the best fisherman I ever did sea (lol).
Thanks for stopping by!
