Girls. Believe me when I tell you - the wedding planning process FLIES by. We are just about 9 months away from getting MARRIED and I can't believe it. Literally can't believe it. I feel like we just got engaged yesterday!
Since we are 9 months out, my goal right now is to get our save the dates mailed within the next two weeks. When browsing for save the dates, there are SO many options out there and it can be tough to narrow it down. I suggest choosing a style that reflects you & your fiancé, as well as your wedding vibe. Is your wedding going to be glam & black tie, or boho and whimsical? Do you have certain colors or photos you want to incorporate into your save the dates? All of these factors should play a role in what you end up choosing. Having a clear answer to each question will guide you in the right direction so your save the dates end up setting the tone for your actual wedding day!
I knew I wanted ours to be simple, chic, and have rose gold foil. I didn't want them to be too trendy or too wordy. I also knew I wanted to incorporate a photo or two from our engagement shoot into our cards.
When I stumbled upon Artifact Uprising, I immediately fell in love with their simple, modern designs. What really drew me in was the fact that all of their save the date options focus on photos. They are clean and crisp, allowing your photo to be the main focus (which it should be since this day is all about you)! I also love how they say "save OUR date" instead of "save THE date" because it makes them more personal. A slight tweak in wording makes all of the difference!
The exact style I ended up choosing is the Hand-Lettered Save Our Date Card with Foil. I know I keep using the word simple, but that is why I fell in love with this option. It's simple yet chic. The hand-lettered font is stunning. I also love how the rose gold foil compliments my photo choice so well. I went with white envelopes that can be customized with return and recipient addresses (however I'm not that far ahead of the game yet haha).
Rose gold isn't your vibe? No worries. You can choose from three foil options: silver, gold, or rose gold. Foil isn't your vibe? No worries there either. Artifact Uprising offers non-foil options that are just as pretty! Other envelope options are iron grey and kraft. Another fun fact is that all of Artifact Uprising's cards and envelopes are made from 100% recycled paper.
In addition to our photo, the front of our card has our names and the back of our card has our date, city, and wedding website. Adding your wedding website is a must because it will allow your guests to get more information in between now and when you send your formal invitations. (More on wedding websites in next month's bridal post.)
In addition to save the date cards, Artifact Uprising offers a variety of custom prints, frames and photo books. If you are looking to coordinate your save the dates, wedding invitations, and thank you cards, check out their wedding collection here. I am beyond happy with how our save the dates turned out! They are beautiful, timeless, and I can't wait to send them out to our guests! I also got a bunch of prints and a few frames that I will be sharing over on my Instagram stories this weekend!
