FOUNDATION | BRONZER | LIPSTICK
Another Tuesday, more beauty talk! Let's jump right in: NARS has become one of my favorite brands, and for good reason. Before NARS, I had never worn a true foundation. Instead, I would use a bb cream or a tinted moisturizer as my "foundation" because that's what worked for me. However, I finally reached the point in my life where I wanted something that was more full coverage. I wanted something that would last all day & night and look fab in photos. So, the hunt for a full coverage foundation began.
When choosing a foundation, I knew I wanted one that was noncomedogenic because that means it will NOT clog your pores - I promise! If a product is noncomedogenic, it will say it on the box. When I googled noncomedogenic foundations, NARS was the first one that came up. Off I went to Sephora, and into my bag went the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation (which I've already repurchased!!)
Like the name says - it is light weight & it lasts all day. I love the way it goes on and how it really feels like I'm not wearing anything! I usually use two or three pumps, depending on how much coverage I want that day. One bottle lasted me months so it is definitely worth the price. Even though this is the only true foundation I have ever used, I absolutely love it & would recommend it to anyone! It has never given me reason to try another brand!
Another product I've been loving is the NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna. I've always loved a great bronzer and out of all the ones I've ever tried, this one is at the top of my list! It is truly the prettiest bronzer I have ever used. I don't know what it is about it, but the color compliments my skin so well and it has the prettiest shimmer. It is easy to build upon and gives a perfect sun kissed look. I originally purchased it in the blush/bronzer duo, but once I ran out of the duo, I had to get the full sized version because I loved it that much!
And now for my NARS Lipstick in the shade Roman Holiday. If you've been following me, you know I've been wearing this lipstick almost every day! It's a satin finish and so creamy (not sticky!) I never was much of a lipstick girl; I still don't even really wear lip liner lol. I was always so content with a tinted lip balm and the couple lipsticks I had by MAC that I would wear for special occasions. But, I finally realized lipstick isn't as bad as I thought - it's all about finding the right shade.
Personally, I prefer pinks and nudes. I like to keep it light & neutral because that's what I'm comfortable wearing. It's just enough to look put together without having to make a huge statement. Occasionally you'll catch me in a bright pink, but I have to be going somewhere really special for that.
