Happy Tuesday ladies! I have so many fun things to talk about today so get ready - this is going to be a long one!
I am going to start posting weekly beauty faves! Every Tuesday, I will choose a product or brand that I want to feature and tell you all about it & why I recommend it. I've come across so many new products lately that I have fallen in love with and even repurchased. If you've been following me for a while, then you know I am a beauty lover. I want my blog to be a place where you can come not only for style inspiration, but also for beauty recommendations. Finding products you love and truly believe in can be tough, especially when it comes to skincare.
That being said, I switched up my skincare routine about six weeks ago & I've been seeing great results! For those of you who've been following me, you know I was a huge a fan of Dermalogica. So why would I start using something different? I simply wasn't loving it like I was in the beginning. When my products ran out and I didn't feel the need to repurchase it, I knew I had to make a change.
SO, for the past six weeks I've been using the entire face line by Damn Good Face Wash, as well as two body scrubs. Before I get into the products & my current routine, I want to give a little background about the owner/maker behind this line. Kate is simply amazing. Each and every jar of product is handmade with love & all natural ingredients. Mini wooden spoons are included in your order which is super convenient. The packaging is adorable & it arrived super quick. Kate puts in so much time & effort, making sure each product turns out perfect and every customer ends up happy.
Now for my current routine (if you're still reading haha)!
1. Damn Good Face Wash: First, I scoop out a dime sized amount of the face wash and rub it on my face dry. You can put it on your skin damp, but I prefer dry because it has oils in it so it removes my makeup which is a major win. I then use a warm washcloth to rinse it off.
2. Damn Good Clay: After I wash my face, I use the clay as an overall mask or spot treatment, depending on how my skin is that night. This clay takes a little time to get used to and I went through a lot of trial and error to find the best way to use it. It's not the most user friendly BUT it does give results. To put it on, I leave my skin a little damp, put the clay on without mixing it with anything, then I wet my hands & rub it in all over. To really feel it working, you need to leave if on for about 10 minutes. I leave it on for 20 minutes to get the best results. After 20 minutes or so, I rinse it with a warm washcloth to make sure I get all of it off.
3. Damn Good Toner: After using the clay, I put the toner on with a cotton ball. If you're not used to the scent, it may take a couple times to get used to.
4. Damn Good Oil: After the toner, I rub the oil on my face. I use 3-4 drops and rub any excess on my hands; it smells SO good! Don't be scared to try this because your afraid it will make your skin oily. It actually has the opposite effect. Because it's oil, it leaves your skin feeling moisturized rather than stripping your skin of it's natural oils like most products do.
The other Damn Good products I've been using are the Coffee Scrub in Orange/Vanilla and the Body Polish in The Salty One. Both of these smell amazing and are great exfoliants! I try to use the scrubs twice a week, usually one day coffee and one day salty. I also purchased the Damn Good Man Oil for Rob & he loves it. It conditions his beard and keeps his skin moisturized & smelling good!
Now for the best part! Because these products are SO DAMN GOOD, you can use my code damngoodbeauty20 for 20% off your ENTIRE order!! But hurry, the coupon code is only good until midnight EST on July 20 (aka tomorrow)! I promise you won't be disappointed with these products! They have truly been life changing for me!
