If you've been following me for a while, you know how important skincare is to me. Over the past few months I've been trying out some new products, trying to find a routine that works best for my skin. Now that it's starting to get colder out, I think I found just what I need to keep my skin looking healthy and hydrated throughout the colder seasons. Let's jump right in, shall we?
My morning routine is pretty simple because I honestly don't have a ton of time to get ready. Having to be awake before the sun comes up is not my forte, so a quick and effective routine is essential for me.
Step 1: Damn Good Face Wash. I really love this stuff ladies. I talked about it over the summer, here, and I can't say enough good things about it! It is handmade, 100% natural, smells delish, and it actually works. It is gentle and it leaves my skin super hydrated and silky smooth.
Step 2: Galmglow Glowstarter. This Mega Illuminating Moisturizer is another favorite of mine. I love that it doubles as a moisturizer and primer. It looks fab under foundation which is why I use it in the morning. In combination with the face wash, these two are the perfect duo.
You can find my previous blog post about the Glamglow Moisturizer here. I'm still using the same container that I originally purchased when I first wrote that post months ago. I'm a little more than half way through it - AKA it lasts such a long time!
My night time routine is also very simple. Because I have more time, I add a few extra steps that have been super effective for me.
Step 1: Damn Good Face Wash. Yes, again. I just really believe in this product ladies! Like I said before, it is very gentle so it is okay to use it morning and night. Since it has oil in it, it doesn't leave a trace of makeup on your face! What else could you ask for?! I apply it to my dry skin and then wipe it off with a warm washcloth.
Step 2: Damn Good Sugar Scrub. This sugar scrub is fab. I use it as a body scrub, but because it is a fine grain, it is safe to use on your face as well. I do not use it every night. Instead, I aim for three times a week. I've never really been consistent with exfoliating, but this product has changed me. I've seen improvements in my skin, including little to no congestion. I also have to say, it smells amazing. I get it in the citrus + sandalwood scent.
Step 3: Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment. I use this mask once a week; usually on Sunday's because that's my relaxing day. I originally purchased it because my skin was more congested than usual and I had heard great things about it so I was dying to try it. I started by using it every other night because I wanted to see results fast. Well, I got them! My skin cleared up and now I don't have to use it as often. I also notice a visible difference in my skin immediately after I take it off. It really does make your skin glow. If you've been on the fence about trying Glamglow, I promise you it is absolutely worth the money. The amount of product you use is very little which means it will last a while.
Step 4: Damn Good Oil. I know face oils are all the rage right now and there are so many choices out there, but this one takes the cake. It is 100% natural, smells delicious, and is the most hydrating thing my skin has ever come in contact with. A lot of girls are scared to put oil on their face, in fear that it will cause them to break out. I promise you, this oil will not cause you to break out. The oils in this particular product mimic the natural oils that your skin produces on it's own. Rather than stripping your skin of these natural oils (like most products tend to do), it replenishes them, keeping your skin silky smooth. I also use this oil to clean my makeup brushes. It gets all of the makeup off, while also conditioning the brush!
As you can see, my skincare routine is pretty basic. I believe in using quality products that truly make a difference in the way your skin looks and feels. Damn Good Face Wash and Glamglow have been life changing brands for me. Lucky for you - you can get a jar of Damn Good Face Wash for $5 off until 5pm EST tonight (no code needed)! I am currently looking to add an eye cream and possibly a face serum to my routine, please leave your suggestions below!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
